About ME

I moved to Kendal after retiring as an architect. My printmaking started when I did a linoprint course at the Brewery Arts Centre in 2017. My background in architecture has enabled me to develop a style which is characterised by precise lines and shapes. Throughout various courses I have explored different printing techniques but lino printing remains the primary method I use.
I respond to the world around by exploring a variety of subjects including still life and the natural and built environment.
The majority of my printing has been done in the Brewery Print Room although during lockdown I worked from home creating a series of views from the windows. A number of these prints were included in the book Through the Locking Glass.
I exhibit regularly with Greendoor Artists, Cumbria Printmakers and Kendal Arts Society and have also shown at The Great Print Exhibition at Rheged, Printfest Fringe and Lakeland Artists Exhibition at Grasmere.
